The cost is $15 and you can pay Robin the day of the event! As an added treat, I will be playing my sound bowls during the yoga class Savasana.

Advent is a time to prepare our hearts for the mystery of Christmas. A time to watch and wait and be present. In the hustle and bustle that often accompanies this season, taking time to center ourselves and tap into the spirit of Advent can be hard to do.

If you’re longing for a time to rest and reflect, please join us on Tuesday, December 3 at 6:00 PM in the Nave. Rebecca Turk is returning to lead us in a sound bath for Advent. For the most restful experience, bring your yoga mat, a blanket, and any bolster or pillow you prefer and experience the sound bath resting in Savasana. You may also choose to experience it sitting in the pews, and you’re welcome to bring a cushion or pillow to make you more comfortable.

Realign Your Chakras and Rebalance Your Body: Vibrational Realignment Therapy

Yin Yoga Practice with Chakra Sound, a Full Sound Bath and Gratitude Cards to Welcome this Season of Gratefulness

Join us for a two-hour healing night at Evolation Yoga to realign your chakras and rebalance your body. Participants will be given a gratitude card, encouraging the heart to embrace the joy and transformative potential of gratitude. The session will begin with a meditation followed by a yin yoga practice led by Amanda Pawlowski with chakra sound and a full sound bath which are led by Rebecca Turk.

For the Yin practice, participants will hold each yoga posture for about 3 minutes while the tones of each quartz crystal bowl washes over and through that specific chakra area. Longer holds in a Yin Yoga practice gently lengthen the muscles and fascia helping to break up adhesions, and apply mild stress to joints and connective tissues, while increasing range of motion.     

After the Yin practice is complete, Sound Healer and Reiki Master, Rebecca Turk will take participants on a meditative and healing journey of sound. This sound experience incorporates the angelic healing tones which radiate from her quartz crystal bowls tuned to the 7-point chakra system, a native drum will mimic the sound of ocean waves which are cleansing and clearing, gong vibration to quiet the mind and finally, gentle tones from Koshi chimes tuned specifically to the four elements will complete the experience. Vibrational sound healing has been shown to help reduce stress, promote restful sleep, and relax tension in the body by producing a specific resonance and tone. Sound baths are designed to relax the body, nervous system, mind, and energy systems. When these systems are allowed to relax and release, healing can begin.

To close the session, we will end with a group discussion.

You will hear native drums that mimic the cleansing and clearing sound of ocean waves and gentle tones from Koshi chimes tuned specifically to the four elements. You will see calming ocean views that include whale sharks, manta rays, and so much more.

Get tickets now, space is limited! Tickets are $29.99 per person and include a 60-minute class and complimentary parking in Georgia Aquarium’s parking garage. Doors open at 6:00 pm; class begins at 6:30 pm.

While not required, we suggest bringing an eye mask, yoga mat, as well as a blanket for comfort as participants get cold when their systems slow down during a sound bath.
